A Community Partnership. Some would say its an an early example of Big Society. The group formed in 2006, creating a voluntary partnership and consulted widely in what were the good and bad things in the town for those living and working there. The exercise covered economy, environment, transport and social & community aspects. As a result the group identified some core projects and has delivered several of them. The key ones have been a Town street improvement project, Town Loyalty, Retail support training, Festival and more recently an asset transfer bid and working on a youth web site project for social and employment information.
