As the global population continues to grow, the agricultural industry is challenged with increasing food production on existing land. The world population is estimated to be 9.1 billion by 2050. Food production must increase by 70%. Controlled Environment Agriculture and vertical farming provide year-round high yield production with limited use of chemicals, and up to 90% less water. These new methods of farming will avoid some of the negative environmental effects of traditional agriculture, including water waste and pollution, soil degradation, and greenhouse gas emissions from food distribution. ACTS Freedom Farms International is a global solution to the challenge of feeding a growing world population. The project will grow healthy, affordable, nutritionally superior fruits, vegetables, and herbs year-round. In addition to supplying abundant food, this project will create, good paying, local jobs and a new economic foundation for sustainable communities in any region of the world.
