- Promotes effective financial management through principles of budgeting, stewardship, financial discipline, & delayed gratification to end self-defeating financial behaviors & create economic security- Provides training & instruction to attain financial literacy in underserved communities.- Conducts weekend & evening classes, & offers individual counseling to promote effective financial management with tools such as financial planning including creating a budget to familiarizing members with web-based financial resources & computer programs such as MS Excel.- Upon successful completion of the program, a member will have a budget & open an account with a partnered financial institution with a monetary grant from the program matched by the institution.
