The Academy of Higher Education of Foreign Trade and Economic Diplomacy (former known as National College of Commerce and Economic Relations Diplomacy) has been established in 2013, as a result of the convergence of views and skills conjugation of two prestigious institutions in Romania : The Union of Bilateral Chambers of Commerce from Romania and Transylvania University from Brasov. AHEFTED's goal is to develop and refine the higher economic and legal education, to support the international economic and diplomatic relations of Romania, in the European reformatory spirit, generated by the "Bologna process", by promoting and implementing continuing education in a knowledge-based economy. The objective of courses is to create an elitist corps of economic diplomats, able to present in the country, but especially abroad, in an attractive and professional way, the Romanian economic offer, in order to attract foreign investors and to promote domestic products on foreign markets. The lecturers are well valued university professors and also nationally and internationally personalities recognized as authorities in the field. TThe Economic Relations Diplomacy component will be sustained in terms of lectures, not only by reputed Romanian diplomats, but also by ambassadors of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Romania, alongside with university teachers that have highly scientific competency in the field.
