Alberta Rockies Gay Rodeo Association (ARGRA) is a not-for-profit society that is 100% volunteer driven. ARGRA was founded in 1991 and the first Canadian Rockies International Rodeo was held in 1993. After years of consistent growth we now have a membership base of over 400. This makes ARGRA the largest gay rodeo association in the worldOur objectives are:To provide recreation for the members and the gay commuity to promote an opportunity for friendly and social activity.To foster an amateur rodeo and other western events.To produce a group of well rounded individuals by enabling them to be properly educated about the various aspects of western lifestyle.To establish a group of people, who are both proficient and professional, to collectively work on fundraising events, organizational activities and to perform charitable duties for the surrounding area by aiding any particular charitable organization the membership shall choose at any given time.To be an organization for the entire community, barring all prejudices related to sex, national origin, sexual orientation, religion, race, age, disability or any other prejudice the organization might encounter.To donate back to the community that supports us.
