Bat For A Chance is a charitable initiative set up by Will Gaffney which aims to help underprivileged children experience the joy of cricket. We collect and source clothing and equipment, both new and high-quality second hand, for dispatch to schools, clubs and academies all around the world. Will is a 16 year old cricketer who has been fortunate enough to play cricket in many locations across the globe from a young age. However, doing this opened his eyes as to how how poor the quality of equipment was in some of the places he visited, and how fortunate he was to be able to have such easy access to high-quality equipment. He also saw how much some of these children relied on the sport and how much it did for them - providing them a way to escape from difficult situations.Will wanted to help. By providing cricket kit which they would otherwise not be able to buy for themselves, he hopes to enhance children's love of the cricket and help to further grow the sport.
