Big Design is a non-profit organization with the mission of education, professional development, and community service for the research, design, and strategy communities. We believe design leaders should build future design leaders. Our goal is to learn, share, and grow our individual members. We hope you will join our global community. We are better together. In 2019, we established two college endowments to fund permanent scholarships for the design community in north Texas. Our first two scholarship winners were international students supporting accessibility projects at UNT.As a community-driven organization, Big Design has worked to:- Provide over 250 community events and meetups- Create two design scholarships at UNT and UTD- Organize the Big Design Conference with 1,500+ attendees each year- Sponsor World Usability Day and World IA Day- Provide financial support to Hurrican Katrina victims- Raise money to support sick designers- Help students find internships and improve their portfolios- Perform free workshops and seminars to support the community
