We are a non-profit legal services organization that advocates for children's rights when the family court fails to protect them in cases involving family violence. We are based in Silver Spring, Maryland, and provide statewide support, and also provide resources, consultations and technical assistance to out-of-state caregivers and attorneys. OUR MISSION: To protect and advocate for children who have been abused or affected by family violence or coercive control; to support them and their protective parents; and to promote justice for them through legal services, community outreach, education, and policy recommendations.Child Justice is dedicated to ensuring a child's right to be legally protected from an abusive parent. We work with well-respected law firms to provide legal services that protect Maryland children "lost in the system" after exposure to family violence, physical and/or sexual abuse, substance addictions or neglect. Pro Bono attorneys working with Child Justice provide abuse victims with highly skilled legal services for lower court and appellate court cases.
