The Feed the Seed Foundation is an exciting new business development foundation. Our purpose is to support local startup founders in building new enterprises and thus encourage local economic development. We partner with NaperLaunch at the Naperville Public Library and SCORE Fox Valley to improve the success rate of startups. We provide guidance and training as well as early stage grant funding.We are a 501[c](3) charitable foundation. All our officers, directors, staff and advisors volunteer their time without compensation. Our activities are designed to fulfill our two main purposes; first, to raise funds to be able to support local startups who qualify for our grants and second, to help guide new startups through the process to qualify for a small startup grant (SSG) of seed capital.The foundation operates in DuPage, Will, Kane and Kendall counties in Illinois. We partner with and work in organizations that provide coaching and mentoring services to business owners. The foundation was formed in order to add the valuable benefit of seed capital grants to what our partners are already doing to sustain our local startup community.
