Fives is a social networking platform that provides users with dynamic experiences by connecting them with like-minded people for personalized group events. We do that by seamlessly integrating Facebook, Yelp, and Google maps into one simple intuitive platform. After entering information about their availability and interests, users are placed into groups of four or five people for one time meetup events. We have developed a proprietary algorithm that matches users with others with whom they have first and second degree connections on Facebook; this promotes safety as our users make plans to meet one another in the real world. Our proprietary algorithm promotes compatibility among matched group members, and our format encourages repeated use for those who enjoy the straightforward, efficient, and reliable setup. Our market research has shown us that the lack of such an algorithm is the reason extant social networking platforms, like Meetup, fail to satisfy the desire to socialize with like-minded people.Unlike our closest competitors, who require users to determine the time and place of their meetups, we determine mutually agreeable meeting times and places in advance. By picking a time and location for events, we reduce the burden of users to engage in back and forth dialogue to discuss logistics and increases the frequency of on-screen → off-screen interactions.
