Florida State Animal Response Coalition, Inc (FLSARC) is now a division of SPCA Florida, a 501 (c) 3 organization, as of September 2021. Florida SARC's mission includes assisting the Florida Division of Emergency Management and the ESF-17 network with the rescue, care, and reunification of companion animals during natural and manmade disasters. In addition, we support local shelters with emergencies, deploy responders in partnership with such organizations as the ASPCA and Humane Society, and conduct training in Florida and other partnering states. We are the only division in the U.S. credentialed to teach the FEMA approved Level 1 Awareness and Level 2 Operations sheltering courses.
