Future by Lund (FBL) is an innovation platform in Lund in support of smart, creative and sustainable societies of the future. The innovation platform serves as an arena for collaboration between universities, municipalities, organizations, and industry. It is a member organization founded by Lund University, The City of Lund and companies operating in Lund. The mission is to lead and support open innovation in intersecting areas with a focus on applied research and resource growth for participating parties. Together with our partners, we are developing Lund as a global innovation district with the capacity to solve complex societal challenges. Future by Lund has an office in Lund with 10 employees and works both locally, nationally, and internationally. Our starting point is that development and growth take place through interaction between many different actors. New solutions are created by mixing and crossing different fields of knowledge and by many actors in an ecosystem working together. FBL shapes and operates a number of innovation portfolios based on Lund's innovation district's unique characteristics and capabilities.
