In addition, outpatient binocular examinations are offered • Orthopedic surgery (all types of bone fractures, replacement of hip and shoulder joints, amputations and replacement of already inserted hip prostheses) • Medical diseases (diseases of the heart, stomach, intestines, liver, lungs, kidneys, back, hormones and metabolism as well as arthritis) • Women's diseases, pregnancy and childbirth (obstetrics, maternity care, neck fold and malformation scans as well as diseases of the abdomen) • Children's and adolescent diseases (an offer for 0-18-year-olds with medical illnesses as well as newborn and premature children) • Occupational and social medical diseases (work-related problems such as stress and physical strain) In connection with Holbæk Hospital, the Steno Diabetes Center Zealand (SDCS) opened in 2019, which aims to strengthen the overall diabetes efforts in Region Zealand for the benefit of all people with diabetes in the region. Research is a high priority across all departments and the House of Research forms the framework for the hospital's PhD environment, and the research effort takes place in collaboration with other research institutions in Denmark and researchers from both Denmark and abroad. Holbæk Hospital is a large training center for many different professional groups. From doctors and nurses to social and health assistants, bioanalysts, physio and occupational therapists, radiographers, medical secretaries, rescuers, service assistants and others. Under the heading "Same day under the same roof", Holbæk Hospital has established a Medical Joint Outpatient Clinic - an organizational unit across specialities, which consists of six specialty outpatient clinics and the Unit for Interdisciplinary Investigation and Treatment. It ensures faster and better processes and value for patients with multi-diseases in Region Zealand.
