Holnap is a nationwide programme in Hungary aimed at enhancing the value-creating potential of the youth in the field of sustainability. Through our initiatives we raise awareness, build knowledge and encourage action to tackle issues connected to environmental, social, educational and cultural sustainability. Our main goal is to create an open platform and network for a thousand ambitious young people, where they can seek help for their own projects that aim to address problems in the above-mentioned areas. With our programmes, mentoring and teaching we wish to empower them so that they can become "shapers and builders" of the Hungarian society. Further to that, we wish to strengthen the voice of young people across the whole country, since the fresh perspectives and motivation they hold can provide impetus for social development. For too long has the power of youth remained unexplored. We believe that it is high time young people stepped up for their ideas and showed leadership in questions that mainly influence "their" future, such as sustainability."Holnap" means "tomorrow" in Hungarian.
