Ihlobo Footwear is a footwear manufacturer established in 2005. We are based in Hammarsdale in KwaZulu Natal situated in a 2300 square meter facility. We currently employ 320 permanent staff and a further 60 seasonal staff. We have a current capacity to manufacture 5000 pairs per day of fashion footwear. We are level 1 B-BBEE compliant company with empowerment and sustainability as part of our core principles. In order to ensure we supply quality products we have a formal company skills development program, which seeks to enhance the skills of employees across the board. The program includes multi-skilling of employees, on the job training, TRACE training, learning Lean manufacturing principles, soft skills ie, Financial Management, Computer operations, Planning, amongst others. Quality and Business standards are incorporated into an Integrated Business Management System (IBMS) being a key element of daily operations which compromises of a Safety, Health, Environment and Quality program (SHEQ). Systems and products are manufactured and monitored strictly in accordance with best standards and specific customer requirements. To further enhance Ihlobo Footwear's success we have formed strategic alliances with the following organizations: • CTCIP (Clothing & Textile Competitiveness Improvement Programme.) • SAP &TC (South African Productivity & Training Cluster). • P.I.P (Production Incentive Programme) in line with the I.D.C (International Development Corporation). • KZN CTC (Clothing and textile Cluster) a world class manufacturing & capacity building program).• NBCLI (National Bargaining Council for the leather Industry) Ihlobo Footwear continues to excel in its visions and goals of world class manufacturing success, we aim to achieve ISO 9001- 2015 certification, an international quality management system which is recognised worldwide in 2018.
