Integra Service Dogs Australia specialises in the sourcing, matching, placement, ongoing training and development of high quality Labrador trainee Service Dogs with Veterans and First Responders suffering from PTSD. Integra has been successfully operating since 2016. We are a national provider, delivering Assistance Dog services in most states and territories, and have efficiently matched and placed more than one hundred (100) high quality Labrador dogs with Veterans and First Responders.Our reclassified Labrador dogs have been sourced from our established partnerships with organisations such as: Guide Dogs Victoria, Australian Border Force Detection Dog Program, Seeing Eye Dogs Vision Australia and private registered breeders.The bond created through each team is life changing.Our Program teaches our dogs to become emotionally tuned to their Veteran or First Responder and their unique triggers. Our dogs are able to ground their handler from a hyper-aroused state and provide unconditional support through the trauma and stresses of everyday life.Integra is proud to have his Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret'd), the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia and Mrs Linda Hurley as our Patrons.
