Janawaruna Public Development Corporation Limited (JPDC) was incorporated under the companies act No. 7 of 2007 on 25th August 2021 bearing registration No. P B 00244241 as a public company with an enthusiastic team of Directors with the helm of multi-disciplinary qualified Socio-Economic Consultant & Development Practitioner Janaka W. Ritigahapola, coming largely from a rural background and dedicated to the upliftment of the rural economy in the country. They had various experiences in the fields of rural & agriculture development, Project Management, Finance, Insurance, Marketing, Sales, HRM & Administration Management, and also sound advice given to the company by well-wishers are guided its affairs successfully. The team equipped with professional knowledge and more than 30 years of experience, in the company will contribute to the successful achievement of the company's goals and objectives as expected. From the inception, a yearning the first Directors had to develop the rural economy was transformed into a ‘Policy for Action'. This policy evolved through careful and prudent thinking which had at its base the desire to develop the rural economy through the development of agricultural community and utilization of those empowerments for generation of employment and income among the rural and largely agricultural population while preserving our traditional cultural and social values. With that motive, the company believes that the company will be able to successfully line up our nation to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030 and that the sustainable development process will improve the livelihoods of our people. Finally, the company believes that with all the above strengths, able to brand our motherland on the world map as a country where people can live with pride and prosperity.
