I'm Dr. Jennifer Warkentin and I specialize in the psychological treatment and assessment of older adults. I provide services in assisted and independent living facilities, and in homes in MetroWest and Central Massachusetts. I recognize that it takes courage to seek help, and believe that effective therapy starts with a genuine, empathic, and honest relationship. My style is warm and at times humorous, and I incorporate different approaches and evidence-based treatments to meet my client's needs. I also provide training for staff of skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent living facilities throughout Metro Boston and Central Massachusetts. Through my years of experience as a teacher and trainer, I have developed a personable and interactive approach to the learning process, which helps to engage the participants, and I genuinely enjoy working with a wide range of audiences. The most frequently requested topics include behavior management (particularly around problem behaviors associated with dementia), working more effectively with families, and how to support and assist patients with mental health issues.
