SOURCES OF INSPIRATIONAn enigmatic input. Every single project, as huge as an elephant or as small as a little mouse, starts with it. Just a glimp of ones face, a chapter of a book, a picture in a local newspaper, a statusupdate on Facebook; it could inspire me for a new serie of pictures or for just a single beautiful shot.Daily life is my source of inspiration. During shopping or while just walking around. But it can also be more personal. A good looking man or a nice conversation with my friends could be enough for a new idea. Beside these, more or less unexpectable, daily life things there are also artists who inspire me. At first I want to mention sculpturist and friend Dennis Coenraad, whom I work with very often. Beside him also photographers as Erwin Olaf and David Vance are sources of inspiration for me. And finally the band Antony and The Johnsons influenced me with its outstanding music.INTERACTIONPhotography to me is more than just taking pictures. Interaction with the person in front of my camera is my elementary principle. While taking pictures I try to find out who you are and what skills you have. I'm always looking for uncommon ideas and crossing sharp edged borders. You are the subject of my work, which means that you're not just an object. You can influence my work and I will allow that, while guiding and supporting you. That's the interaction I stand for.I don't only take pictures of you, I especially take pictures with you.
