The John Ware Institute (JWI) was founded in 2020 in the wake of the social justice movement of that year.JWI plays a pivotal role in propelling Black professionals into esteemed leadership roles across Canada, while also improving health and socio-economic outcomes.JWI is founded on the principles of investigating and proposing solutions to issues of social inequity – particularly in health and socio-economic outcomesThe Board of Directors, Advisory Board, and Venture Advisory Board of the Institute have demonstrated extensive experience and expertise in health, business and entrepreneurship within the Black community and other marginalized groups.
