The Kamloops Food Policy Council is the longest-standing independent food policy council in Canada: pollinating projects, developing partnerships, and contributing to public policy since 1995. As a non-profit organization, we are on a mission to build a grassroots community capacity around food through policy, programs, education, and partnerships. At the Kamloops Food Policy Council, we toil to build a resilient food system, alleviate poverty, promote local economic vitality, promote Indigenous food sovereignty, promote intergenerational knowledge transfer, revitalize local food assets, and cultivate our connections and network.
