Kendal Mountain Events is the organisation behind the internationally acclaimed 'Kendal Mountain FESTIVAL', UK & overseas TOURS and the new online digital PLAYER.The Festival is one of the leading and is the most diverse event of its kind in the world. It attracts film premières from around the globe, including filmmakers, TV producers, adventurers, athletes, writers and who's who of the brands in the outdoor industry; all who gather to take part in four packed days of the very best films, talks, books and exhibitions covering all aspects of mountain and adventure sports culture. It is also the main social event for outdoor enthusiasts in the UK.At the heart of Kendal's programme is the mountain film competition, attracting film premières from around the world. Over 70 films are screened (from 300+ entries) with twelve coveted prizes up for grabs. Extra expenditure into the local economy generated by the Kendal Mountain Festival has been independently calculated to be in excess of £5m.
