KickBeta connects developers and targeted smartphone users with the aim to help perfecting mobile applications. Users can discover interesting apps, try them for free, provide feedbacks, and be rewarded for that. The platform employs the same interaction model that made Kickstarter famous for crowd funding. Developers can create projects, choose the targeted amount of testers and specify a recruitment period, a testing period, and a series of rewards each of a determined quantity. If during the recruitment period a project doesn't reach the prefixed amount of testers, the test won't start. Otherwise, KickBeta distributes the apps to testers and provides a mobile application for bug reporting. Bugs are made available on our bug-tracking platform and are accesible to developers. At the end of the test, developers will reward each tester with the promised reward, may it be the app for free, a premium account, special contents and others.
