To level your home and maintain the same crawl space, we use a laser leveling system in combination with small hydraulic jacks and bring all the point loads of the home to an even plane within 1/4 inch on each side of the bubble. In the process of attempting to get the point loads/piers to the same plane, drywall may crack, doors may get out of wack, windows may crack, and ceiling tiles may fall. If the drywall, doors, windows, or room additions were installed when the home wasn't on level plane, this is to be expected. On the other hand, if nothing has been done between the home being built and the foundation settling, the cracks should start to close, the doors should start to function, and the windows start to open.
