Márquez Laundry is a theatre company with the goal of creating stories in multiple visual theatre formats, combining object theatre & puppetry, live music, dance and movement choreography. We take an idea, work out the process and rules as we play on the floor, and develop pieces of visual theatre alongside live music; exploring characters and scenes to breathing new life into everyday objects.RepurposingWe like to give everyday, sometimes neglected objects a purpose - we give raw materials, props, even food a new lease on life. This means collecting a lot of your unwanted crumbling stuff. ThemesIn 2013, we're delving deep and thematically exploring isolation, rejection and deprivation. Macondo's Clothesline is the first in the series and is in its second development.
