It's mostly used for treatment-resistant depression and anxiety, however there are many other conditions which TMS could also help. TMS is also non-invasive, pain free and side-effect free.What is TMS Used For?On top of depression and anxiety, TMS can also help relieve symptoms of several other psychiatric and neurological conditions such as: addiction, eating disorders, OCD, PTSD, post-natal depression, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, migraines, MS, Parkinson's and schizophrenia. It can also help relieve insomnia and tinnitus.How Much Does it Cost?A typical TMS session is $100 - $150, with each treatment requiring 20-30 treatments over the course of 2-3 weeks M-F. Because we are a private clinic, that means there are no wait times to get in, and treatment can be condensed to 2 - 3 weeks instead of 6. Some major insurance companies such as Sunlife, Great West Life (now Canada Life) and AB Blue Cross will sometimes cover a portion (or all) on a case-by-case basis. We also have financing available through Medicard with payment plans from 6 months to 6 years, making it affordable for all budgets.How Long is a Session?Individual session times may vary, however the average time is only 10 minutes. A treatment regimen can be anywhere from 2 - 6 weeks, but 2 is more typical. There is also no recovery time with the patient being able to drive themselves home immediately after the treatment session.
