The Origin Group started in January 2006 to establish a specialised sales and marketing operation in Europe for a large South African fruit producer. Under the flag "Origin Fruit Direct"or "OFD"​ this initiative has developed into a group company with offices in Rotterdam, Shanghai, Chile and Spain. The Origin Group has expanded their procurement base in the southern hemisphere by adding South America to its existing South African supply base and continues to pursue new opportunities in the development of new product varieties.With this expansion in the Group's procurement base, we are now able to provide our customers all over Europe with a longer sustainable supply-season.
