People Making a Difference (PMD) organizes one-time, hands-on volunteer projects for individuals and partners with businesses to promote community involvement+PMD has engaged 10,250+ volunteers and 53 for-profit and public business partners, executing 1,300+ service projects helping 154 partner charities, of which 89% cannot operate their own volunteer programs. PMD provides high quality volunteer experiences that make a real difference to local charities.Community Service Projects - PMD's well planned projects engage 500 volunteers/yr in meaningful, hands-on work that effectively meets real needs and educates volunteers about the context of their work. Participants consistently feel energized and motivated from making a difference via PMD. Corporate Community Involvement - PMD partners with businesses to identify clear objectives and then to develop appropriate employee volunteer opportunities. Involvement ranges from research and project development to all planning and full-service execution, so that employers need only recruit participants.
