Founded in 1969, Precision Technology, Inc. is a family owned, full-service investment casting foundry and machine shop located in Douglassville, Pennsylvania. The company is comprised of three investment castings foundries – Precision Technology, Inc., Harcast Company, Inc. and Future Cast, Inc. The consolidation of the three companies allowed Precision Technology to expand its services, broaden its customer base, increase resources and diversify its offerings. Precision Technology currently produces castings for companies in the pump and valve, defense, food and beverage, general industrial equipment, architecture, construction, and transportation industries. Parts include water valves, centrifugal pumps, diaphragm pumps, citrus juicing components, and valves on train cars, sprinkler system components and high-pressure water blasting components. Precision Technology's greatest strength is the ability to produce turnkey products. The castings often begin from a blueprint from a customer and four to six weeks after the creation of a tool the parts are complete and shipped as a fully machined casting. The inside services, including heat treating and machining, give Precision a competitive advantage over other foundries that must send parts to outside contractors to complete these processes increasing their lead times. In March of 2013, Precision Technology built a state of the art, climate controlled, 6,000 square foot machine shop on site. The original machine shop was 1,400 square foot and located in the foundry building. The addition of the new building allowed the Company to invest in multiple Okuma, Brother and Haas CNC machines. The investment in both milling and turning operation machines now gives the customers the opportunity to receive castings machined to their specifications and ready for immediate use.
