Rutland Young Professionals (RYP) is an all-volunteer, all-inclusive non-profit organization focused on creating a vibrant Rutland area and promoting that area to young professionals near and far. With over 150 members and two dozen active volunteers, RYP represents an enthusiastic group of Vermonters seeking connections to with each other and to jobs, volunteer and mentoring opportunities, professional development and fun.RYP holds a monthly mix, which is free and open to the public. Each mix attracts a crowd of about 60 people. RYP also offers a recruiting program called "Let's Dish" job seekers considering a move to the area and people new to the community with volunteers who can help them get settled.RYP also hosts the annual Young Professionals Summit of Vermont, a statewide event that attracts professionals from around the state.
