San-Tech Solutions and Consultancy services, is a Malawian hygiene and sanitation social enterprise established in 2019. Our aim is to increase access to quality and affordable reusable sanitary pads for girls through production of low-cost and innovative sanitary pad making-machine. Our mission is to provide pad producers with low-cost and innovative sanitary pad making-machine capable of producing high quality and affordable reusable pads for low income women and girls. Our vision is to become innovation leader in Sanitation and Hygiene in Malawi by 2021 and Sub Sahara Africa by 2025. Over 70% of vulnerable girls and women in rural Malawi do not have access to hygienic reusable sanitary pads. According to United Nation Population Fund (UNFPA), Malawian Girls miss 11% of school days due to menstruation and Girls Network Malawi (GENET) has mentioned lack of sanitary pads as one of the main causes of school dropout. Although there are None-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and companies promoting production of reusable pads targeting vulnerable women and girls in school, the promoted process of making pads is hard, tiresome and expensive due to lack of efficient production tools and system Therefore, San Tech Solutions, innovated a reusable sanitary pad making machine. Product testing of SAN Tech pad making machines has indicated that our sanitary- pad making machine, can cut 2 pads in 39.5 seconds (100 pad templates in 32 minutes) in comparison to traditional way (template drawing and scissor cutting) which cut 2 pads in 4 minutes (100 pad templates in 3 Hours) . The machine saves three times labor expenses and reduces pad template cutting inaccuracy by 99% unlike traditional ways which has 66% cutting inaccuracy.Services offered by San Tech Solutions and Consultancy Services include production of reusable sanitary pad making machine and pads, consultancy services, implementation of sanitation and hygiene grants and sell of pad making machine spare parts.
