Solace Housing Group work with 16 - 21 Years olds placing them with "Supported Lodgings Providers" for accommodation and support in the community . We are dedicated to finding suitable, stable home environments to help them reach their full potential.What is Supported Lodgings?Supported lodgings is an alternative to fostering. It provides a young person a room in a home environment and the support and guidance of an adult, or "provider", living there. Our young people come from a wide range of backgrounds. They may be leaving the care system, at risk of being, or have been, made homeless or unable to remain with their birth family. All our young people are looked after by their local authority and have a care worker assigned to support them for a number of reasons such as:• Family instability or relationship breakdown• Behaviour problems• Drug or alcohol addiction• Have been formerly fostered • Have learning or mental health needsThe support required is different for each young person. It could involve helping them to use public transport on their own, take responsibility for their own health & wellbeing, or more challenging areas such as managing difficult behaviour.
