BIOHM Health is a leading innovator in microbiome-based products and ingredients, dedicated to improving human health by unlocking the potential of the relationship between bacteria and fungi in the microbiome. Until recently, most microbiome-based research only looked at bacteria, largely ignoring the fungal component. Founded in 2016, the company was built upon Dr Mahmoud Ghannoum's (co-founder) discovery that fungal organisms constitute an essential part of the microbiome and that when bad bacteria and fungi join forces, they create a digestive biofilm which serves to protect them.
