LESA aims to:• Foster safety in design, installation and use of lifts (elevators), escalators, moving walks and like equipment.• Encourage the acquisition and interchange of technical knowledge freely given.• Promote correct selection, specification of equipment, operating standard and performance in the design of premises.• Assess proposed and existing Government Regulations and provide ‘feedback' as considered appropriate.• Receive papers prepared by members and guest speakers.• Meet at regular intervals for the purpose of achieving its aims and objectives.• Encourage technological development of lifts (elevators), escalators, moving walks and like equipment.• Comment on matters affecting public interest where the Society considers this appropriate.
