Over the years, FRIP has trained hundreds of medical and non-medical personnel with simple life-saving techniques, free of cost, which if applied in time, can significantly reduce the burden of trauma. Society of Medical Research stemmed from a vision of making research opportunities accessible to medical students in Pakistan. Since its conception, this society has worked to promote research culture by conducting various, free of cost webinars and workshops. SoMR provides a platform for aspiring researchers to communicate with those experienced in this field from all over the world and has also established a mentorship programme in order to facilitate the research journey of these students. The importance of research within developing nations cannot be overstated which is why SoMR strives to steer its youth towards developing independent and critical thinking skills so that it can bridge the gap between the scientific developments within Pakistan and the rest of the world.
