Little Athletics in WA is a uniquely Australian sport for under 6-17 age groups. As the name suggests, it is based upon the sport of athletics (track and field) and the events are specially modified to suit the ages and abilities of children. A wide range of running, jumping, throwing and walking events are conducted, making Little Athletics the "Foundation for all Sports" offering young people activities and skills that will stand them in good stead for their sporting future. Little A's, as it is affectionately referred to by those who enjoy it, is not really about winning, but about having fun, making friends and getting families involved in healthy activities. The emphasis is placed on participation and personal improvement. It is no surprise then, that the motto of Little Athletics is: "Family, Fun and Fitness".Little Athletics WA has over 9,000 members at 35 Centres across the state. Summer and winter seasons offer different programs. Track & Field is run through summer and during winter many centres operate cross country and race walks.

Softball WA is the peak organisation representing Softball in Western Australia.Our purpose is to grow the game of softball through equitable and inclusive practices that provide opportunities for participation at all levels.The primary responsibilities of Softball WA include to:-Promote and advance the sport of softball in WA.-Manage WA State Teams.-Train coaches, umpires and scorers.-Provide assistance to associations and clubs with management issues.-Represent the sport in the public forum.-Manage and operate the Mirrabooka International Softball Stadium.

Previous to 1 July 2017 we were the Department of Sport and Recreation and we will continue to work closely with the sport and recreation industry as we have always done and maintain the same high standard of service we have always delivered.
