The two should not be confused, nor does one replace the other. A typical eye exam evaluates ocular health and visual acuity. A vision assessment at Advanced Vision Therapy Center is an in-depth evaluation of visual system function, is symptom focused, goal oriented, and used in the diagnoses of both immediate onset (acute) as well as long-standing (chronic) vision problems.
