Established in 1985, Al-Shifa Trust is a non-governmental, non-political, charitable organization. Al-Shifa Trust is striving to deliver high quality eye care services since 1991. It focuses on the prevention and control of blindness by providing standard and sustainable eye care services which are accessible and affordable to all regardless of gender, race, color or religion.Al-Shifa Trust focuses on prevention and control of blindness by providing standard and sustainable eye care services which are accessible and affordable to all regardless of gender, race, color or religion. Its essential components include hospital-based tertiary eye care services, community-oriented prevention of blindness program, need-based human resource development, promotion of basic and applied research in ophthalmology and development of appropriate and affordable technology.Al-Shifa Trust is also involved in widespread outreach program with surgical eye camps all over the country and sub-specialty clinics for all major eye diseases. Its Annual operating budget is around 222 million PKR.
