We are so glad you found us and are thinking about living in a healthy and sustainable way in your home.Our own research into eco-sustainable sofas started when our son Rafael was on the way. From the very beginning, my husband Davide and I had one goal in mind. We wanted to live in style, health and comfort. AND we wanted to protect our planet for future generations. WHO WE AREWe are Davide (38) and Christine (46). We have two children, Rafael (9) and Eva (8) and we live and work in Italy, between Milano and lovely lake Como. My husband Davide Barzaghi comes from a family of seven generations of furniture makers. From age fourteen, he worked and learned in the family enterprise. He acquired the craft and loved the beauty of the soft shapes and textures. WHY DID WE CREATE THE BIOSOFA?When I was pregnant with our son Rafael, we talked about the future we wanted to give to our children and the planet they would be living on. Davide had a look at his own family enterprise. At the time, they produced sofas like everybody else. (...with plywood, 40kg of petrol based foams and a lot of synthetics. Most sofas continue to be made that way even today by the way.) We understood that no matter what: We wanted a healthy future for our children. So we changed the sofa making business and became sustainable.
