After earning his Bachelor’s degree and MBA from Rutgers, Daniel Ballerini became the owner of First Station Real Estate. He specifically invests in REO foreclosures in good neighborhoods and has acquired 73 properties, for a combined 88 rental units. The structures in his portfolio are single-family homes or small apartment buildings that typically required initial renovations. Once the repairs are complete, Ballerini holds the properties as long-term rentals. Dan Ballerini purchases foreclosed properties that typical homebuyers shy away from at discounted pricing, and after fixing them, rents them out at an affordable rate. Many tenants have told Ballerini that they never imagined being able to afford to live in such nice homes. Ballerini is proud of what he has accomplished. Neighbors have expressed their gratitude after he fixes up the dilapidated houses on their streets that hard-working families can move into. Ballerini plans to continue to grow his company and wants to have 100 rental units and $10 million in property asset value by 2018. He believes real estate is the best vehicle to create long-term wealth and knows it will take discipline, foresight, desire, and hard work to expand his real estate portfolio.
