Dave Wood Art is an E-Commerce business selling Calligraphic Artworks and Paper Sculpture Original Artworks as well as a large gift range of inspirational framed prints created by Dave Wood, Graphic Designer/Calligraphic Artist/Paper Sculptor. Until 2004 Dave and his wife, Jan, ran Australia's first Calligraphy Art Gallery at Batemans Bay in NSW, Australia. Dave now works from his studio in Pomona, Queensland, on a commission basis for both the Corporate and Private sector as well as creating speculative Artist's Books which are represented by an Agent in the USA. He also sells to Institutions and private collectors in Australia and New Zealand. Dave Wood has been a freelance Graphic Designer/Calligrapher for 50 years, working with Advertising and Design agencies for many years, before opening his own gallery. He has taught calligraphy both nationally and internationally for many years, as guest member of various Faculties in the USA as well as Finland.He self published The Painted Word in 1994 which was an Art Book of 86 colour plates of his work. This book was published in both hardback and softback editions and has sold over 5000 copies. Under his Private Press, D J Harwood & Associates, he has self published a number of Limited Editions Books which have been sold to Institutions and private collectors around the world.
