Dreamcatcher specialises in sustainable socio-economic development and implementing inclusive social change projects to empower individuals and communities living in recurring poverty, access to opportunities that improve quality of life and a future where they can thrive. Working and living in 20 communities across South Africa for over 2 decades, Dreamcatcher hasthe knowledge and credibility to offer visitors the unique chance to go truly local knowing that their support really counts. Founded to change extreme hardship in communities to the "better life" for his people Nelson Mandela wanted, we developed work to empower enterprise development, environment and community wellbeing. We also offer volunteers, researchers and visitors the chance to join the communities to work together to address social exclusion and enable self-sufficiency. Going truly local it enables visitors to engage and encounter a community in rewarding intra-cultural and social engagement experiences and knowledge transfer projects. The models we have developed over the years proved our ethos, mindset and relevance during the Covid Pandemic. Together we are changing lives in South Africa every day.
