Believing that music has the power to inspire, Fenimore Chamber Orchestra aspires to enrich Cooperstown and other surrounding rural regions of Upstate New York including Otsego, Delaware and Chenango Counties by presenting extraordinary musical experiences at the highest level of artistic excellence. All three counties are mainly low-income rural areas without adequate access to music and arts programming. The Orchestra is created also for the benefit of: 1) the residents of and visitors to the area through programming and expansion of the artistic and musical network of the greater Catskill Mountain Region of New York State; 2) students through music education outreach programming; and, 3) professional local and regional orchestral musicians, providing a challenging and artistic scope commensurate with their talents.
