Planetary cooling & polar ice stabilization could happen centuries faster than with renewables, emissions cuts & unamplified CO2 removal (CDR) alone. EARTH2040 is a breakthrough concept for ocean-amplified CO2 capture & maximal storage + whole-earth cooling (WEC) produced by reflecting another 1.4% of incident sunlight back into outer space. Both involve 2-stage natural amplifiers - with CCS fossil fuels as a front-end driver, uniquely enabling large-scale blooming of diatoms & bright-white ocean microalgae as massive stage-2 amplifiers - raising albedo & imparting a 1400% negative carbon footprint (better than ZERO) to CCS fossil energy & transportation.GCE's EARTH2040 initiative could spectacularly transform CCS fossil fueled energy & transportation into primary engines for climate restoration. Our concept would combine with emissions control. The combination could cap warming at 1.3C by 2028, restore preindustrial temperature by 2040 & reduce atmospheric CO2 to 350 ppm by 2078 - centuries sooner than renewables, emissions control, and unamplified CDR alone.
