Hello, my name is Janos Vajda and I have 15+ years' experience in the financial and administrative management of EU-funded research projects. Currently, I work as a freelance project manager for COGEN Europe, a trade association in Brussels, Belgium. In this capacity, I manage all administrative, financial, and other non-scientific aspects of the EU-funded projects that the company coordinates (ene.field and PACE, two flagship projects financed by the FCH JU with PACE being one of the top 10 projects financed under H2020 in terms of the grant amount (cca. EUR 34 million of funding)). My tasks include monitoring the budgets for each partner at the consortium level and also at the level of our own organization where I prepare annual plans as well as monthly reports of actual costs to make sure the project is implemented within budget.
