Our money art collection includes more than 300 works of different techniques and thematic contents. That is not the case. Rather, this is a conceptional collection which explores the social, cultural and political questions around the subject of money. If there had to be a date on which this collection begins in terms of subject matter, it would have to be the 15 August 1971. On that day, the US abandoned the gold standard of the dollar. This heralded the end of money as a store of value and degraded it to colourful imprinted paper.Centerpieces of the collection are works by Joseph Beuys, Barton Lidicé Beneš, Mathieu Mercier, Jerry Berndt, Timm Ulrichs and Michael Timpson.Since 2011, works from the collection have been exhibited in Berlin, Leipzig, Stuttgart, Salzburg and Budapest, among others. Additionally, a selection of works is presented monthly in the magazine "Stiftung&Sponsoring" since 2016.
