Fleet Vehicles (such as Law Enforcement) idle as much as 50% of their operational life. This is done simply to operate the Heating and/or Air Conditioning and the electronic (emergency response) equipment within the vehicle. Our Patented Hybrid Idle system allows the vehicle's engine to shut off for up to 4 hours per shift while continuing to operate the HVAC and all the emergency equipment. This saves fleet managers 15% to 20% of their yearly fuel budget, as well as reducing wear and tear on the vehicle's engine and drive train. The system is completely automatic and requires no input from the vehicle operator.
