The Institute for Black Progressive Commerce (IBPC) is building capacity for innovation and systemic transformation inclusive society through technology and innovation. We do so by creating globally collaborative commerce and innovation sectors by unlocking knowledge to enable sustainable to collectively scale impact. IBPC was established in Cape Town South Africa and operates at the intersection of the quintuple helix model for innovation by breaking silos between industry, companies, marketplaces, municipalities, individuals, countries, and policymakers to positively shape the future of the economy and society through the use of leveraging collaboration, innovation and technology. We see this model as the key driver of systemic regional change and progression.Our success in building thriving and inclusive African diaspora regional and global ecosystems. Based in The Cradle of Humankind in the Mother City where the East meets the West in the Southern Hemisphere. IBPC achieves its mission through the following interventions:1) Entrepreneurial development, support and incubation; 2) Readiness and skills development – Providing a platform for Black people to contribute to the development of enter the global impact economy; and 3) Open innovation clusters - picking industries of the future and supporting and stimulating their growth towards a values based economy4) Providing an ecosystem and safe and inclusive space for entrepreneurs, changemakers, and leaders to be heard, understood, and to thrive.IBPC continues to look at areas that will be transformative in 20 years and have an impact in five years. We are scaling our work throughout the continent to stimulate and build inclusive transformation and impact within the values-based economy.
