Founded in 1947, the Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC) is dedicated to all aspects of public service in Canada, including studying, celebrating, learning, and networking. One of IPAC's 18 regional branches, IPAC Manitoba groups together all Manitobans who have an interest in public service. We celebrate public service in three ways.-Building Networks: IPAC is a great way to meet other dedicated individuals. Members range from experienced public servants at the federal, provincial, and municipal level, to students or recent graduates, university professors, and everyone in between. Whether at one of our regular events or the annual general meeting, IPAC is a great way to build your network! Are you new to public service? Then you might want to join our New Professional's Network, which provides learning and networking opportunities for new public servants. -Celebrating Excellence: Awarded annually, the Lieutenant Governor's Medal is a celebration of the very best in public service in Manitoba. Held at the Lieutenant Governor's official residence, winners see their long-standing contributions recognized and celebrated. IPAC also recognizes excellence among students of public administration with the Condo Award for outstanding research papers by undergraduate and graduate students.Through the Horizons Program, IPAC also sends one public servant to the IPAC national conference, a three day learning event which brings together experts from all over Canada. -Sharing Knowledge: Through our various events, IPAC promotes learning and the sharing of experiences. Events range from day-long sessions, to lunch-hour panels, evening discussion groups, guided tours of notable sites, and more! Check our upcoming events page for more!
