Israel Animal Defence Force

The Israel Animal Defense Force was established in 2004 and is the only association in Israel that operates and activates independentenforcement units that rescue animals from abuse and neglect throughout Israel. In addition, we operate educational projects at schools toinstill values of compassion and sensitivity towards animals in order to prevent future violence and criminal activity towards them.Abuse and violence towards animals is rampant in Israel. This includes theft and trade of dogs, breeding of dangerous dogs and their salefor dogfights, poisoning of cats, and other abusive activities. Tens of thousands of animals are victimized, but when civilians encounterthese phenomena and contact the authorities such as the police or the municipal hotline, the response is that nothing can be done. Ourmission is to fill that void.We have recently decided to embark on an independentpath which will allow us to extend our activity to additional regions andprovide efficient and professional responses to a larger number of cases.Independent activity requires the creation of a suitable infrastructure,some of which can be received as donations (professional equipment,vehicle, veterinary care and more), and part of which requires funding– such as employee wages and operational costs.
